Metro will attend to mulberry tree

Chris Broodryk (52) is happy to see somebody is cutting the tree regularly. “The metro should really make a plan to remove the tree.”

“We will send out a team to attend to the mulberry tree,” says metro spokesman Themba Gadebe.

The Addie reported on the problem of the mulberry tree that is growing under a lamp post in Seventh Street.

It was about two metres high at the time.

A Springs businessman had cut the branches which obstructed the view of Seventh Street.

However, the tree started growing again, but was recently cut down once more.

It is not known who cut the branches of the tree.
