Ladies take on bowling to raise funds

The Edenvale Ladies' Circle who organised the fund-raiser at the Springs Old Boys' Bowling Club, are Natasha Lloyd, Chantess Wiiggill, Peta-Lyn Foot, Ashleigh van Niekerk, Cheslyn Dunlop and Yvette Cornelissen.

The Edenvale Ladies Circle, a charity organisation, hosted a fund-raiser at the Springs Old Boys’ Bowling Club on Saturday.

One of the members is originally from Springs and her parents play bowls, so she suggested they hold the fund- raiser at the club.

The money they received will be used for numerous homes and charities such as places for abandoned babies, places of safety for teenagers, places of safety for destitute families and for their handbag project for rape victims.

This was the first time these women had bowled and they had amazing laughs and fun.

“We believe in friendship and service, bonding and getting together as friends as well as doing something for the community,” the members said.
