Accidents can be prevented

With the Easter weekend behind us, there is still another long weekend awaiting motorists.

Unnecessary deaths on our roads due to vehicles not being roadworthy, is something the authorities seriously need to look at.

There are so many tips available on social media and in the newspapers, that I cannot understand why people still don’t adhere to all the safety tips.

If you take a long trip, stop every 200 kilometres and rest, stretch your legs, take a breath of fresh air, drink something and then continue your trip.

Having lost a loved one in a motor vehicle accident, my concern is you might only find out hours or even days after the accident occurred.

The deaths on our roads are not something that should be taken lightly.

Buckle up and adhere to the road signs and speed limits.

Accidents do happen, but can be prevented if you have your vehicle checked out properly by qualified dealers.

My condolences go to the people who have lost loved ones during the school holiday and Easter weekend.
