Sewage problem in Cloverfield Road continues

Ward councillor Ramesh Sheodin says the overflowing sewage puts everyone at risk.

Residents in Dersley are at their wits’ end with the sewage problem that never seems to go away.

The problem has been happening for the past 12 years and there seems to be no permanent solution in sight.

Reasons for the problem have differed over the years from a blocked pipe to illegal miners.

“The stink is unbearable. It is not acceptable that the municipality cannot find a solution to the problem.
